As Valentine’s Day approaches, our mood has shifted to romantic mode!
The Nice Côte d’Azur region is ideally suited to special moments for lovers. A street corner, a panoramic view, gardens planted with trees, fountains, a museum… A bit “cliché”, some would say, but so romantic for others, we reveal our 10 favourite places with your loved one…

1 – La cascade de Gairaut
We love this place, set back from the city, which is perfect for a change of scenery. With its magnificent waterfall and the Austrian-style guard’s house overlooking it, it transports us to another era. This place is truly full of charm and romance and offers a beautiful view of the city.
It will not fail to seduce you and to give your partner a real eyeful (so to speak!)…
2 – Le Temple de l’Amour, Parc Chambrun
In the Saint-Maurice district, north of Nice, a former bandstand, also called the Temple of Love, stands proudly in the middle of the Chambrun park. Created at the end of the 19th century at the request of the Count of Chambrun for his wife, this jewel of romantic architecture lives up to its name; it is still today the witness of numerous romantic meetings.
A lovely place to immortalise the happiest day of your life for example!
3 – Le jardin du Monastère de Cimiez
Located on the hill of Cimiez in a site steeped in history, the monastery garden is a true haven of peace. With its tree-lined paths, flower beds, pergolas and central well, it is conducive to calm and relaxation. At the end of the main driveway is a small secret garden that will charm you.
In spring, the pergolas are covered with roses, which offer an unforgettable visual and olfactory spectacle. Perfect for a romantic walk!
Did you know? It was here, in the Franciscan Fathers’ vegetable garden, that “mesclun” was born!
4 – La Colline du Château
The Castle Hill is a privileged place for a walk hand in hand. Its shaded paths, waterfall, ruins and multiple viewpoints make it a unique site. The highlight of the show is at the top of the belvedere from where you can admire an exceptional panorama of the Bay of Angels, the roofs of Old Nice and the surrounding hills.
We love the waterfall on Castle Hill, which adds a romantic touch to your getaway.
5 – Rauba Capeu, at sunset
What could be more romantic than watching a sunset with your partner? The winter skies offer striking spectacles whose colours are sometimes true works of art. In order to fully enjoy the show, we advise you to stay along the coastline where the light is reflected in the sea.
For a sunset stroll, start at the tip of Rauba Capeu, where the #ILOVENICE symbol stands, and continue along the Promenade des Anglais, a wow effect guaranteed!
6 – Le Restaurant “Les Amoureux”
A date in a restaurant is always a good idea, but it’s even better when you go to “Les Amoureux”! If the name is romantic, the pizzas they serve are even more so, because here you can eat heart-shaped pizzas! So romantic…
As attractive as it is delicious: the restaurant was awarded the distinction of the best Neapolitan pizza in Nice!

7 – Les fontaines de Vence
It is in the most romantic medieval atmosphere that you will take pleasure in discovering the historic town of Vence. The best thing to do is to wander through the narrow streets and discover its charming little squares, its monuments and above all the numerous fountains…
The best known of them is the Peyra fountain. Don’t forget to make a wish and throw a coin in the fountain as you pass by.
To be seen at night when the fountain is lit up, for the most magical atmosphere!
8 – La Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild à Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat
The Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild is THE romantic venue par excellence! The architecture of the Venetian-style palace, the gardens, the musical fountains, the temple of love, the rose garden, the breathtaking views over the Mediterranean… each element gives the site its own special atmosphere and offers visitors an enchanted interlude.

9 – Eze-Village

Once you reach the top, the garden offers a breathtaking view of the Mediterranean and the surrounding seaside villages.
