My Explore Game “my Adventure”

I tried out the “My Adventure” activity with my colleagues and it was brilliant! As an escape game fan myself, and not knowing too much about Nice, I thought it was the ideal activity for learning more about the city.

It’s an original way to discover or rediscover the magnificent city of Nice.

What is My Adventure?

First of all, My Explore Bag is a cross between an escape game, a treasure hunt and a Trivial Pursuit. To progress through the game, you’ll need to use your legs, but above all your brains!

The application is very easy to get to grips with, and can even be used offline, which can be very useful if you want to save battery power or if you don’t have a package with an unlimited internet connection.

How does it work?

First download the My Explore Bag app, scan the QR code and you’re off on a great adventure. Go to one of our partners to pick up your backpack.

In the rucksack you’ll find a number of items that will help you solve the various puzzles.

The rucksack is made in France from recycled materials. The frame of the bag is made from event tarpaulins, the shoulder straps from safety belts and the handle from climbing rope, but don’t worry, it’s still very stylish!

My experience

We started our adventure at Place Masséna, taking note of all the items we could find in the rucksack and starting the game by unlocking Place Masséna on the app to be able to access the riddles. The riddles are very varied: observation riddles, orientation riddles, multiple-choice questions or open-ended questions, there’s something for everyone.

After solving a number of riddles, we managed to unlock one of the ten clues that came in handy for the final quest.

Despite the fact that the riddles are set out on the app, the fact that there are so many accessories means that you can take your eyes off the action and enjoy the scenery.

We continued with the same mechanics at several points of interest, including Cours Saleya, Quai Rauba Capeu and many others, but I’ll leave you to discover for yourself the points of interest you’ll need to visit to unlock all the clues.

We didn’t have any particular difficulty getting from one point to another, as we had a map and a compass on the app to help us find our way.

Like a local

Coming from Tours, this activity enabled me to learn more about the city of Nice, its history and anecdotes, but also and above all its vocabulary. The puzzles often included little words from Nice, but don’t panic if like me you’re not from the area, you can find the definitions at the end of the booklet provided.

What’s more, it allowed me to discover new places in the city and to rediscover some of them, with some very interesting little anecdotes about each place. I was able to learn more about the rich history of Nice, its buildings and its people.

And I almost forgot the best part, you can get discounts at their local partners such as Maison Alziari to buy good local olive oils.

Responsible tourism

My Explore Bag also promotes responsible tourism.

In fact, as well as their bags being made in France from recycled materials, their equipment is reused as much as possible to minimise the impact on the planet, and their printing is done on recycled paper.

What’s more, the route is entirely on foot, so you can explore the city with minimal impact on the environment!

My opinion

For me, this is a perfect activity to do if you’re a fan of treasure hunts and would like to find out more about the city of Nice. Even if you think you already know the city, this activity will allow you to learn new anecdotes about its history. What’s more, My Explore Bag is a unique activity that can be done all year round, on your own, in pairs or in a group!

I highly recommend this activity, which allowed me to discover more about the city of Nice while having fun.
