Built on a ridge overlooking the Tinée valley, surrounded by wooded peaks and hills, La Tour-sur-Tinée is blessed with panoramic views and superb natural beauty.
The village has retained its medieval layout, with cobbled streets and a square lined with painted facades. From the village of La Tour, there are a number of hiking trails of varying levels, enabling you to complete loops or reach the surrounding villages.

White Penitents’ chapel
Cette chapelle du XVème siècle renferme des objets classés au titre des monuments historiques, notamment les peintures sur les murs et la voûte. Au XIXème siècle est ajouté un décor floral sur la travée, et en 1980 la façade extérieure est restaurée en trompe-l’oeil.
This 15th-century chapel contains a number of items listed as historic monuments, in particular the paintings on the walls and vault. Floral decoration was added to the bay in the 19th century, and the exterior façade was restored in trompe-l’oeil in 1980.
