Noëlle Perna, a comedian and actress, is known for her character Mado la Niçoise.

When she arrived in France, in Nice, her parents took over the “Bar des Oiseaux” located in the old part of Nice. She took over a few years later, at the age of 20. A born artist, she performed behind the counter of her bar. This is where “Mado la Niçoise” came to life.

▸ Episode 2, Sylvie T, draughtswoman, illustrator, art mediator and author

Spotlight on this native of Nice, Sylvie T, who describes herself as a “creative jack of all trades”. Indeed, after her studies in architecture, Sylvie T became a draughtswoman, illustrator, art mediator and author of children’s books.

In 1993, she set up her eponymous studio-gallery in Old Nice where she works in Indian ink and watercolours.

Her inspiration? The architecture and the perspective of the Nice Côte d’Azur area, where the details of the lanterns from Old Nice and the Baie des Anges fascinate her..

▸ Episode 3, Virginie Acchiardo, chef of the family-owned restaurant Chez Acchiardo

Chef of the family-owned restaurant Chez Acchiardo, Virginie reveals herself in this new episode of the web-series Brillantes.

Awarded the Cuisine Nissarde label, the Acchiardo restaurant has been serving authentic and traditional Nice cuisine since 1927.

Alongside her brothers Jean-François and Raphaël, Virginie is part of the 4th generation to run this institution. She takes over the kitchens to reproduce her great-grandmother’s recipes, because at the beginning, Chez Acchiardo was “a women’s story” which became a family story over time.

▸ Episode 4, Marina Correia, world champion in longboard dancing

In 2020, Marina Correia became world champion in longboarding and continues to spread her discipline. A real passion that she wants to share with as many people as possible!

Born in Cape Verde, she arrived in Nice at the age of 14. A few years later, it was here that she got on her board for the first time. The Promenade des Anglais became her playground, her second home.

▸ Episode 5, Carine Dalmasso, winemaker at Domaine de la Source

Located twenty minutes by car from the Promenade des Anglais, Carine Dalmasso produces AOP Bellet wine and organic olive oil at Domaine de la Source.

Passionate, the winegrower has taken over and expanded – together with her brother – the estate that her parents created in the 1980s in the hills of Nice. They produce wine in three colors, which can be tasted on site.

Originally from Strasbourg, Milène Servelle moved to the Mediterranean at the age of 15. There she discovered art of living, traditions, and, above all, incredible local fauna and flora.

An architectural photographer, she notably photographs the Allianz Riviera Stadium in Nice. For Milène, the Nice Côte d’Azur region is a wonderful playground.

This awareness has led her to add a new string to her bow: agriculture.

Living in the Tinée for more than 20 years, it was at the age of 9 that a trip to the Boréon in a green class gave Onil Bosco a love of the mountains.

Onil divides her life between being an air hostess and a mountain guide. This is a big difference thanks to the proximity of the sea and the mountains that the Nice Côte d’Azur region offers.
