1* Michelin - Jan is a gastronomic restaurant, a nice little place with 24 seats in a fashionable area of the port of Nice.

In Jan's cuisine, both the warm hospitality of South Africa and the quality of local produce from the markets of southern France are reflected.
Originally from Middelburg, a small town in the north of South Africa, Chef Jan-Hendrik van der Westhuizen opened JAN restaurant in September 2013. His cuisine is a subtle blend of French gastronomy and South African recipes dear to his childhood such as melktert or biltong. The wine list offers a wide selection of French and South African wines carefully selected by our sommeliers.

Jan restaurant received its first Michelin Macaroon in 2016. Chef Jan-Hendrik van der Westhuizen is the first South African to receive a Michelin award.
