The Protected Natural Zone (ZNP) offers a shady walk along the Cagne to admire the swans and ducks that come here to nest.
Located in Allée des Joncs, between Avenue de Nice and the mouth of the river, the ZNP was inaugurated on 6 June 1997, following a clean-up operation that opened up a pedestrian walkway through a site where the flora and fauna are now protected.
Dogs are therefore strictly forbidden on the site. Owners are invited to walk their pets on a lead on the right bank, allée des Bouleaux.
This zone is extended by the redesign of the Tilleuls and Saules lanes as pedestrian areas. These will provide a quiet stroll along a central urban thoroughfare running from the town centre to the sea.
