The amphitheatre, decorated by Jean Cocteau, is a truly exceptional place nestling in the heart of the pine trees. Open only for this special occasion, we offer you a visit out of time.
In 1957, Jean Moreau, the founder of the Centre Méditerranéen, invited Jean Cocteau, who was living in Cap-Ferrat at the time, to come and watch the students perform a play by Garcia Lorca. Jean Cocteau became a friend of Jean Moreau and the Centre Méditerranéen.
He would return regularly to practise his art until 1963, the year of his death.

The garden level of the Villa houses objects and countless photographs dating from the end of the 19th century to the 1950s, immortalising the life of the Cap d'Aillois: their leisure activities, their festivals, their daily
everyday landscapes...

Ramiro Arrue Collection:
Ramiro Arrue was a prolific artist: the drawings, paintings, enamels and documents from his studio collection assembled here reveal a silent universe, imbued with delicacy and majesty. Ramiro Arrue depicted the Basque country in a figurative
in a figurative mode that incorporates some of the pictorial techniques of the avant-gardes he encountered during his training in Paris in the 1920s.

Les Jardins de la Villa: In this intimate, shady garden, more or less wild, come and discover olive trees alongside hundred-year-old carob trees, mimosas, a young Ginko
biloba, Judas trees, bougainvilleas, camellias and fragrant jasmines.

The exhibition ‘La révélation de Meyreuil’ offers a retrospective of Mitchell Johnson's work over 35 years. The ‘before and after’ is striking, giving the public an insight into the work of a rare artist.
