The Forum, like the summer programming of the 109, is going Californian, with an exhibition that questions the connections between the Côte d'Azur and that of the Pacific, under a title that announces the (blue) color: "California of the Azure".
In architecture, in urban forms or in landscapes, there is between these two territories like an air of déjà vu: a dialectical tension between a shore that borders an inhabited land and territories anchored in the tectonic matter of rough reliefs a relationship to infrastructures and mobility; typologies of programs or architectural models but also ways of inhabiting these places that echo each other beyond the distance.
Here and there, reality and fiction have nourished each other so much in half a century of formulating modernity that the exhibition navigates, to give the keys, in a conglomerate of real and mental images as an architectural fact.
Articulated around a temporal and spatial frieze constructed as a mirror between the West Coast and the Riviera, the exhibition highlights contemporary issues that speak to everyone, but in a way that not everyone will have thought of, by crossing the perspectives of architects and architectural critics, an artist and residents - here and there.
