Built in 1775 in the Baroque style, with a polychrome gypsum altarpiece from the 18th century. The Virgin of the Assumption: processional group in polychrome wood.
The motto of the White Penitents is inscribed on the pediment "Crux Ave Spes Unica" (Cross my only hope). In addition to their spiritual vocation, they played a very important role as a relief and assistance society, particularly for the sick. The exterior, built in 1775, is quite representative of the numerous religious buildings of Piedmontese Baroque art that can be found in most of the villages of the County of Nice. The façade retains a certain sobriety. Note the only opening: the bifid oculus. The chapel is dedicated to Our Lady of the Assumption. The interior is amazing for its ellipse-shaped plan, which draws attention to the scenic effect of the beautiful 18th century polychrome gypsum retable. The processional cross of the Penitents surmounted by a Pelican, symbol of charity, an emblem chosen for the salvation of humanity. On the right, the 18th century processional group in polychrome wood, stucco and glued fabrics. Amazing balance of the "aerial" statue of the Virgin by two angels in her ascent to heaven. On the left, the painting of the Assumption of the Virgin (1587 by Coriolan Malagavazzo). The painting was painted in 1587 by Coriolan Malagavazzo, a Cremonese artist who lived in the period immediately following the Renaissance. The balanced composition of the painting evokes the influence of Raphael.
