A choreographic triptych which brings together the major works of the Béjart Ballet Lausanne, the opportunity to re-discover these mythical ballets, created by Maurice Béjart: Béjart and us, the bird of fire, Bolero.
Béjart and us is a trip through the dance (and musical) repertoire of Maurice Béjart made up of solos, no two and together extracted from different ballets such as Wien, Wien, Nur du Allein, the Ixe Symphony, Mozart-Tango, Brel and Barbara etc ... a sensitive artistic proposal by Julien Favreau, an immersion in the heart of the eclectic and abundant work of the master interpreted by the dancers of his company today.
The fire bird evokes the birth and splendor of the Phoenix, on a powerful music by Igor Stravinsky. Through this work, Béjart underlines both the richness of Russian culture and a break with traditions, bringing a new vision to choreography.
Bolero is a bewitching work that transcends time and borders. Immerse yourself in the heart of one of the most iconic masterpieces of the 20th century, the fruit of the meeting between the hypnotic music of Maurice Ravel and the choreography of Maurice Béjart. On stage, the central interpreter embodies an intense, repetitive dance, described by Béjart himself: "A melody - of oriental and non -Spanish origin - wraps tirelessly on itself, increasing in volume and intensity, devouring The sound space and ending up engaging the melody ". This ballet symbolizes strength, passion and unity, captivating the spectator until the last note. The Béjart Ballet Lausanne offers you the rare opportunity to rediscover this timeless gem, a performance that fascinates and inspires generations of spectators around the world.
