Taking place facing the plateau and in the immediate vicinity of the Auron ski area, this easy level walk in the Blainon ubac nevertheless transports you into the secret world of the forest where the density of the conifers seems to muffle the outside noise.

Itinerary :
From the lower Chastellarès car park, first go behind the departure station of the Blainon chairlift (b.10, 11, 11a). Below the station take the track which goes down to a bend (b.14); then follow a narrower route to the right towards the place called "Balme Obscure". Cross the Blainon stream and continue more or less level to quickly reach marker 14a; turn right (West) and go up via a “wood train” which narrows little by little. Then follow the summer path which takes you up through the woods to a crossroads (b.12a). Take a short round trip to reach the chamois belvedere, the high point of the circuit. Go back down via the ascent route to marker 12a and continue on the left along a good, slightly ascending path to a small pass (b.12). Then go down into a clearing via an old track to the Blainon chairlift station and return to the starting car park.
At the end of the route, the so-called "chamois" belvedere (1810 m) offers an unexpected viewpoint over the "3000" of the border chain but also downstream over the hamlets of Bourguet and Douans.
PLEASE NOTE: A municipal decree prohibits pedestrian traffic in the ski area, but tolerates access to this circuit in compliance with the signage in place. The route twice touches the alpine ski slopes; be careful, do not deviate from the “snowshoe” route.
