Explore Castagniers with the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolitan Convention and Visitors Bureau
Castagniers is a lovely hilltop village surrounded by lush mediterranean vegetation, mainly made up of olive trees. It offers a splendid open view on the Lower Var Valley (Plaine du Var). Founded in 1870, the village is dominated by Mont Cima, which rises 879 m and offers a breathtaking view, and by the Croix du Cuore.

Notre-Dame de la Paix Abbey and chocolate factory
This 16th-century abbey is inhabited by the cistercian nuns since 1930. They dedicate their spare time to olive oil and chocolate production, which you can find in the abbey shop.
